Chase Marriott Rewards Premier - DECISION PENDING

I just applied for a Chase Marriott Rewards Premier card online and received the "Thank you for applying. Your application requires further review before a decision is made" response. Is that good news or bad? Is there someone I can call at Chase? Is there a backdoor number?

My credit scores are nothing to write home about (high 600's) but and I did just get approved for a BOA Cash Rewards bank card with a $6700 CL. Really want the Marriott card since I travel a lot and use Marriott. I'm a Marriott rewards Gold Elite member as well so I already have lots of points.

OP, Chase seems to send a lot of apps to verification these days... call:

Chase: 888-245-0625 (Credit Analyst - Recons)

They can pull up app and see if they need to look at it or if it's in verification and if so they will transfer you and "usually" if you can answer the questions they can give you response instanly

Just called - went through the verification process and was APPROVED for a $5000 CL. Yeah...going into the garden now that I have the card I wanted most.

Congrats! I just applied and got approved on Monday night for the Marriott as well. Just an FYI the card takes a little longer to receive than other cards because they have to link your Marriott account with it and laser engrave it on the card. After 2 days (which is how long it takes to get an account number for the card) call them back and tell them to expedite the shipping for you or else you would have to wait a lot longer

Your scores are kinda low for what I have seen Chase cards get approved.

I was wondering what the heck was going on with that. I was like 99% sure after i got approved for the CSP that it showed up on my online account right away and i was able to have them expedite like the same day. I called chase like saturday and they said the app was still pending even though it said i was approved instanly. I called monday as soon as it showed up on my online account. They said they will send it in 1 to 2 days. I love the CSP number BTW no hitting buttons at all right to a person and they can work on any of your chase cards. Really good service!
