BCE approval

I decided to try and get my Chase and Amex apps out of the way before settling back into gardening.

I was approved for the Blue Cash Everyday card with a limit of $1000. Not much but it will hopefully be $3000 the first week of August, and $9000 in the beginning of Feb. It was a card I very much wanted.

I will have to call Chase in the morning and see if I can sweet talk them, since I got the ten day message thing.

Nope, they denied me after pulling EX and TU. Apparently my one baddie went and re-aged so it is reporting as though it was just placed there last month. There wasn't any way around it. I'll try and call again tomorrow after I make some other calls.

Thank you everyone. I'm very excited. It has been on my "want" list for some time. I planned ages ago to app in June, but was hesitant due to all my current inquiries and such. I probably could have and should have waited til December, but I don't think that having it now is a bad thing, due to their generous 3x increase potential.

Sure- Inquiries aboout 10. Scores are in my signature. One baddie that is apparently reaged to look recent, but is actually 7 years old. UTL should be about 10% on one card, and about 40% on another which is high for me. AAOA is about a year or so. I have 6-7 new accounts and one new auto. 6 accounts are 6 months old, one account is almost 3 months old (same as my auto as I got the CC and auto from the same CU)

I would say I was a very borderline approval. The score that they gave me at the time of approval was Experian FICO:659. I got their highest interest rate, a low credit limit, and etc.. so I think I'm about as low as they'll accept when you also consider all of my inquiries, new accounts, etc.

Cards:

Cap One: 3k (2 years old- had another cap 1, secured which is a year older, but I closed that a few months ago)

Nordstrom: 500 (6-7 months old, canceling soon I think)

Smartconnect: 600 (6-7 months old)

Macys: 2k (6-7 months old)

Walmart: 3k but showing 1.5k on credit report since the increase is new (6 months old)

DCU: 5.4k (3 months old)

VS: 500 (7 months old)

Fingerhut: 350 (6-7 months old, but canceling)

Needless to say, I need to remake a gardening plan and stick to it. I'll get back to doing that as soon as I pester Chase some more. I'd like to have that before I go back to gardening. After Dec most of my accounts will be at least a year old.
