I was finally approved for a 5-digit credit line with Capital One (Quicksilver). I don't know if it's because I selected the monthly spend of $1000-$2499 on the application or because I had two other open credit lines over 5k (although one of them is now closed just hasn't reported yet).

Considering that I bank with Capital One 360, I've wanted to make a Capital One credit card my to go card (and only credit card) for a while now but was never able to do so because of the credit limit that was always lower than the others. Now that I have this line, I will most likely close my other credit card with Amex or at least sock drawer it (I am one of the rare one-credit-card-only people on this board).

I am definitely done applying for credit now that I have one 5-digit line with Capital One (also have way too many inquiries but that's a different story).
