Two Amex Card Approvals (Amex Green and Everyday)!

Since I've been downsizing some of my cards and getting rid of ones I don't need anymore (Fingerhut is probably next and then I'll be pretty satisfied with what I have now) I decided to go ahead and replace one of with them with something even better. I apped for the Amex Green and kinda wasn't expecting to get approved for this card since I didn't get instant approval this time like with my Delta card but I just called the number and asked them about my status. This kind lady said that there was another team working on reviewing my app and a few minutes later, the same lady came back with an approval!

Couldn't be any happier since I've never used or had a charge card before so it will be quite an interesting experience. I'll basically use it exactly like how I treat my store cards and strictly PIF all the time. Will come quite in handy for a lot of things for me, especially pumping gas and paying bills. American Express is by far the best credit card company I've had the pleasure of doing business with and the most generous one for me. Anyway, back to the garden and hopefully I can try staying in there longer.

Update: Went for the Amex Everyday Card and got approved for $2,100 as my CL. That completely makes up for me not getting the full 3x CLI on my Delta card. And I think I'm pretty much done for now. The accounts I closed before getting this card were the Target Red Card, Fingerhut, and the Old Navy card. I never thought I'd ever have three cards from the same credit card company in my collection but I do now proving to me how much Amex really loves me.

Thanks a lot everyone! It feels amazing basically fulfilling most of my credit goals and feel like I've come such a long way especially when I first stumbled upon websites like this.

I checked Credit Sesame right now and there's just one EX pull from Amex meaning that I was able to get these two cards with just one pull!

I'm getting a little bit worried because even though the represenative the other day clearly told me I was approved for the EveryDay card, another rep I talked today told me it's still pending and that's why it hasn't been any change made to the system. Hope I wasn't lied to or they didn't just randomly change their minds on this. I know the Green card status immediately changed to approved after they came back with the result.

Have you checked the American Express status link online? It should say approved if it went through

Still says in progress. Still finding it weird cause the guy on the phone even told me what the credit limit was and this other rep online said that because the Everyday card is still a newly created product that could be the reason why the status hasn't changed immediately.

Update: They said they would call me back on Monday for a decision and updated my signature for now because I'm not even sure anymore.

Alright I called back and this time I was actually approved for real. The main issue was verification but other than that, same limit they told me the other day and rush delivery too.
