Capital One Secured CLI / DCU Membership

Hello all! New guy here with my first post.

What a day! Two small victories on my road to good credit. First, after having my capital one secured card for 6 months, I log in this morning and notice they increased my limit from $220 to $520. $300 unsecured increase! Yes!! Secondly, got my confirmation email from DCU saying they received all my docs and now I'm officially a member. Started around the mid-500s roughly 6 months ago, after 2 collections deleted and paying all on time, my 3 score reports shows ex-714 eq-698 and tu-688. Pretty pumped right about now and had to share it with you guys. I've lurked for a while and finally have a reason to post! Woohoo!

Congrats! Csp1 secured was my first cc. I opened it in Nov '12 and closed it in Nov '13. Play your "cards" right and you are well on your way!

Congrats I just got approved for DCU as well. My score was only 634 and they approved my joining and instant approval for their cc $7500 limit I'm totally thrilled with them and I know you are happy. Again, congrats.

I plan to app for their visa at the same time as the free checking once I get my info in the mail and get setup online. It'll (hopefully) be my first prime unsecured card. Fingers crossed!

I was going to wait til I got my packet but my curiosity got the better of me and I just went on the main page and applied for the cc. It asked me if I was a member, I said yes they didn't ask for my number and literally within 5 min. I was approved. It was seamless.

I just opened DCU account few days ago too, now waiting for my FICO score to go up to 630 so I can apply for their unsecure CC according to branch credit specialist!

I had a 1300 limit on the card. Only 300 of that was unsecured so I wanted to get my money back. The card had served its purpose and I had new cards with rewards structures so it just didn't make sense to leave it open anymore.

Right on. I'd definitely want my grand back too! Luckily I only have $49 tied up in my cap1 secured card and it's now at $520 limit. As long as they keep giving me increases i'll probably keep it. They gave me a shot when no one else would, and for that I think they deserve some kinda loyalty lol.
