Amex 3x cli approved.

Amex approved me for a 4k cli on my BCE to 6k. After 69 days. Giggity. I originally applied for the 3x on day 61. I was denied due to my account not being open for the full 61 days, which could have been possible because I apped a little after midnigh. So I planed on calling back after their denial letter arrived. But today I was on the forums looking for the inside scoop on what card would be "easy" to obtain with a few inquiries on my reports. I then came across a post where someone apped a day or two too early for their 3x cli increase, to then be approved a few days later. So I went for it. Also on day "61" I asked for more then the 3x. My original limit was 2k and I asked for 7.5k. This time around I wasn't going to push my luck. Thank you guys and gals for making all this possible . I now have an overall cl equal to my income pretty much.

Amex CLI window starts at 3 AM EST. I did the same mistake and then tried again and it was approved. Same 2k to 6K . dont forget to try again in 181 days as long as your <40% of income with amex.

When you guys say try again 181 days is that 181 days from date of open or 181 days from your first CLI?

Congratulations! I requested mine 1 day too early, so now I have to wait for 90 days or so.

Was it the first 3x cli on the cardk? Or did a rep say you must wait now? If so i dont think the app counts and i would definitely go for it.

The letter Amex sent me said they couldn't do the CLI because I was denied a CLI in the past 90 days. I got the same message trying it a few weeks later via CSR and by myself. So I'm just going to wait the 90 days before asking again. But I don't mind... I just wanted it because I knew about the 3x CLI from reading this forum, but I don't actually "need" the additional credit.
