New JC Penney MC came with CLI to boot

FYI - I received the new MC in the mail today and when I activated over the phone it announced "effecitvely immediately your new credit limit is $4000". Wow not too shabby and something I wasn't expecting.

Granted JCP is having relevance challenges in the market place, my DW and I do find some great pricing on clothing there!

Congrats! Yes, I am scared that Sears, KMart, JCPenney, Macys, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster, Radio Shack to name a few are on the troubled list. Target has been trying hard to shoot themselves in the head so who knows. Noticed McDonalds retail sales slipped negative and Walmart. What is happening to our American institutions? Will I have to go to VS?

I got mine on Friday, and originally had a 5100 CL, and upon activatin, it said my new CL was 6k

They notified some members back in July that their cards would be upgraded. I can't really tell how they decided who would get the MC upgrade, though. I'm hoping they'll do periodic looks, as I wouldn't mind the upgrade on this one.

Well thank you for the info!!! That would be nice if they did! I have many of their cards but no Mastercard with them!
