Finally approved for Amex!!

Applied for the Delta skymiles and was approved but of course don't know limit yet. I'm pretty sure I was triple pulled just checked credit karma and it shows a pull from amex. Is this becoming a norm for amex or do you think I was I borderline? This is my fourth time to apply with amex over the years and the first approval I've had...let me tell ya I'm still shaking how dumb is that.

to get limit google AMEX application status there is an 800 number on the page, call it the automated system will give you your CL.

ok so just called CL is 5K HOLY CRAP....that's big for me I figured it would maybe be like 1K maybe 2K but 5K wow....happy dance!!!

I was really worried that amex would triple pull me, but they only pulled experian for both me and my spouse.

It was my first time applying and I got it. I was scared they were going to give me the 7-10 day warning, but it went through right away. I only did it because I got the FNBO preapproval and went fot that. I figured that since I was out of the garden, hey why not. They gave me a $3000 limit. If you look at the email and get the last five digits from it you can get the limit from the automated system. Good luck and Congrats.

Congrats and welcome to the AX family. Most people on this forum would probably tell you to ask for 15K (3x) at the 61 day mark but not me. Should it have been borderline then I would not go for the 3 x and try for double. Risk on denial Myself I did chicken and it also did not feel right to me to go for 15K as I had no 5 digit limit at that time and went for 2 x to 10K. More than perfect for me.
