Instantly approved for Citi Double Cash!

Well since I was trigger happy, I apped again for the Citi Double Cash card.

I initially had 6 inquiries from EX, 3 from EQ, and 3 from TU. I was just approved for Barclay's Sallie Mae and World Rewards MC, as well as US Bank Cash+ within the last 3 days.

Tried the pre-qualify tool on the Citi website and Double Cash was listed there, but with an ugly 22.99% APR, so I ended up doing a cold apply.

I live in Los Angeles and EQ was pulled for me with a score of 707. Instantly approved for $3,000, but unfortunately couldn't avoid the horrible 22.99% APR. Will attempt to recon tomorrow for a higher limit. Good luck to everyone!

Congrats, this seems to be an interesing card as it appears to basically give you 2% cash back. That sure beats out any everyday card I can think of.

You mean like the FIA card which gives 2% on everything? Or all the other two dozen cards out there yielding 2-6% on the most important spending categories?

I am not aware of the FIA card you speak of and I certainly don't mean important spending categories, as those would be categories not everyday spending. I have many cards some of which have up to 6%, so yeah I am aware of those category cards. The best everyday card I have is the PNC Cash card.

CONGRATS.

but I agree with julianb. This card is nothing special. In fact, if you use it for the 15 months of 0%, it will take you forever to get the 2%. Citi needs to step it up. I'd like to see something actually competiive come from them.

Amex Blue Cash Everyday is still my number one for most purchases, except eating out.
