Sam's Club MasterCard Approval

Was feeling very "itchy" this morning and figured I could use this card for the 5% gas when my Discover & Freedom aren't offering it.

Did the application online and received instant approval for $2,500 on the Sam's MasterCard...Not bad, but I knew I could do better.

Called Credit Solutions at 7am this morning and "Mary" approved me (after doing a soft pull) for $5,000.

Hopefully I will get a CLI at 4 months and make this card grow.

It will grow with time. I started at 4400 then a month or so later it auto increased to 5750 or something like that and then 4-6 mo mark i hit the button and it went to 10K. Now I'm stuck at 10K until my reports age a little bit. I think their UW are getting a little tighter with the name / program change and want to see the account age more before going above the 10K.

I know this question has been asked before, but I've seen different answers...

Do I need to let a (small) balance report for those 4 months in order for that method to work? Or can I just use the card and PIF before the statement cuts?

Congrats on your approval and your recon...I always PIF and have never had any CS have an issue with PIF vs small bal after the statement cuts...
