Discover Auto CLI WOOO

So Discover decided to boost my Discover IT to a whopping (sarcasm) $1,000!!! I've have the card for a year give or take a few days but being my first card it has treated me well.

I can't help but be dissappointed as my SallieMae has a $2,400 credit limit and I was hoping the Discover would be at least $2,000. Can't complain though! It's much better than the $500 CL I was first given on my credit journey and I owe it all to Discover for allowing me to start it all.

Discover increased my CL from $1500 -> $3000 in 4 months. I'm thinking about cancelling them and reapply in two years to try to get a higher CL.

Yea Discover is pretty stingy on giving out CLIs. Bummer as they are such a great company!

It's not that $3000 isn't good. I'm not trying to be like its beneath me or anything - it plenty for me. It's just that Discover is one of those cards that is rumored to be a slow increasing card - like Capital One. Even though discover helps one establish credit, I'm told that they are hard to grow with once you are with them. Anyways, it's just an idea I'm kicking around. Might not be the best idea. I'm told Discover is a company that doesn't mind issuing a second card down the road so maybe it would be better to reapply and get new terms before cancelling =P
