Macy's Approved!

I couldn't resist today. I was buying new suits. I got a slip that says credit limit $1200. Would it say if I got Amex? I checked the box but I cant see any indication I was approved. I applied in store.

Congrats! I love me some Macy's. The Men's Store in Union Square in SF is the bomb!

Did you apply directly for the AMEX? I've read that when you do you will get both the AMEX and the store card.

Congratulations on your approval! Im thinking about asking for an upgrade to the Amex next week after my 12th statement cuts. I dont like how they show 2 TLs though when you have the Amex version

Well they also have different lines besides the two tl with amex and store. They have a separate jewelry line. And separate furniture line. Will only report if you use. This is different from clothing.

Thanks everyone. It just showed one TL. Its probably better if I dont get two TL I doubt i would use it anywhere besides Macys.

You can call the number on the slip and the auto line should indicate Amex CL and store cl, if memory serves correctly.

Nicely done! That's the same approval and SLs I got when I applied on Monday, too. Before I saw that you already found out you got the Amex, I was going to recommend contacting their online chat. That's what I did when I was unsure if I was approved for both lines, and the CSR online was able to confirm that I did indeed get the Amex.
