BofA CLI Request

So my Cashrewards card turned 6 months yesterday so I decided to ask for a CLI. I asked to go from $2K to $15K. I was approved for $4.9K. Pretty dissapointed as I wanted to get at least $5K! Can I recon this to get the extra $100?

I read that CLI for BofA are HP and you can use the same HP up to 30 days later. So you can ask again. I think they are some phone number that connect you to a senior credit analyst that can help you get a higher limit.

If you get over 5K then you can PC the card to the Signature version (from what I read). Good luck and please confirm your success.

Called for a recon and spoke with a very nice credit analyst. She went over my request and information again and approved me for $10K! Holy crap! So I started at $2K in March, was approved for $4.9K this morning with a HP, and approved for $10K after a recon using the same HP! I love BofA!

does bank of america use the same hard pull for 30 days if you go use the online request button or is only if you call again?

Good question. I've read recently that someone was able to get another CLI online after having gotten one online a few days before. Seemed to be one HP.

Everyone else I've read about (myself included) has called in.

Thanks for the info! I did a hardpull via website on 9/8. Called for two recons and was told everything loooks great but we arent goong to give u more because your largest payment has only been 800. Granted there have been months where i spend half the limit and pay twice. Now im only paying cc's once a month. Id do computer if it were soft but not in the mood to hear that spheal again on the phone.

Who did you do the recons with, a credit analyst or a CSR?

Back door account specialist twice, followed up by a call to the lady i dealt with before at the office of the president. The woman at the EO's office is the sweetest woman ever. I guess it was only four months I received a credit limit increase. But I thought my score on TU is now 35 points higher and I have really use the card. So I take the pul and get the visa signature. She said to gladly apply online for an increase whenever I felt like it was good timing but right now my limit is good for me.so this month I use the card for all my purchases and just made a $1700 payment two days ago now my balance is zero and my card turns one year in October maybe the computer we grant the cli this time lol. I definitely try it if it was the softpull, but I really don't need it. And of course I don't want to call and ask that question, lol.

Nice! I did something similar with them at the beginning of the year, requested a CLI to $2500 from $300 and it was approved, people on these forums suggested I asked for more so I hit the online button again and asked for $15k, they countered with $10k and used the same TU pull. BofA is awesome. Congratulations on your success

Congrats!! Call them again and ask if they will upgrade to a WMC or Visa Sig version of the card.
