CITI Double Cash CLI

Got my Double Cash a few weeks ago and was initially approved for $5500. I did an online request and got it bumped to $15k. Some data points : 758 EQ, 37 INQs and $143 income.

I just opened an account with Citi on 9/10/19 and my initial CL was 9500. You can do an online CLI that quickly?! Do you know if they did another HP? My scores have recently changed - opened up a lot of new accounts. My income is about 25k less than yours, did they ever ask for evidence? I would be more than happy to show them as it would most likely help my case for a CLI. Thanks and congrats!!

All you have to do is go to "Account Management" and then CLI. If you are not eligible for a SP you can continue and it goes to a CSR and it may be a HP.

I did just that and it states the following;

"It's easy to find out if you qualify for a credit limit increase. By clicking "Continue" you understand that we will obtain a credit bureau report to evaluate your request. Our credit department will review your request within 24 hours."

That definetly sounds like a HP. Did you see the same statement? I received the card about 2 weeks ago, but I have been showing it love and already ran about 1500 through it and PIF'd before statement was cut last week. A higher CL would be nice, but at 9500 there is no way I am risking a HP.

Whoa! A new card and a CL that goes from $5500 to $15000 at the cost of a SP. Huge congratulations!

This may or may not matter. But I have been a CITI card member for 3 years. But I never use the CDP I have from them. I got approved after verification through chat for the Double Cash and the CSR told me how to request a CLI when the card comes. He said most are small limits and most people who ask get a CLI. I didn't even have to explain my 30+ inquiries.

Just got off the phone with a CSR; definitely a HP for me. Not sure how theyes discern. Initial CL was 9500, so maybe that is a factor. I guess I will go see if Chase will show me some love on my new Fredom. Gotta get my fix today as I am coming down from my Amex BCE approval from yesterday!

can you tell me if they pull experian and experian again when requesting a credit limit increase or do they pull experian for app EQ for cli ?
