Amex Platinum SkyMiles card offers

I received an Amex Platinum SkyMiles card offer and I wanted to know what info they use to send this. As stated in offer, I am a Delta Medallion, so do they just send offers to all Medallions? Wondering if I actually qualified for anything from my credit. Specific interest rate not mentioned, but offer is very good at 15,000 MQMs+45,000 miles with $1000 spend, $100 for Delta spend. Offer expires Nov 2, so I'm wondering several things. Are the Platinum requirements different from the Gold SkyMiles? Does the offer /really/ expire then or is that just motivation. Did I meet any requirements? I have an old Amex inquiry on my Equifax report, but it doesn't seem connected. I received this or a similar offer before, right after achieving my status, so it seems like I didn't qualify for anything, right? Thank you.

Are you opted out of pre-approval credit offers? Offers like this don't involve any hard pull of your credit. More than likely Amex soft pulled your report and found you meet some guidelines they have in place for targeted pre-approval offers. If you decide to apply, Amex will hard pull your Experian report. Given the steep AF on this card I actually think it has the same - if not easier - underwriting criteria as the Gold.

I have this card and was given a laughable limit, so it sits in the kitchen drawer. I made the bonus spend and that's it.

What I meant is an old Equifax hard pull has nothing to do with this offer. Since you're not opted out and you meet their pre-qualified parameters is why you received the offer. This was the (now expired) public offer until a few weeks ago.

No way with the AF. May as well the reserve. Friend has blue delta skymiles. Only 55 AF but 0 perks.

I'm really not sure. I got 15k MQM + 50k Skymiles + $100 Delta/statement credit. I don't remember seeing that offer last year. When does the offer expire?

I'm really not sure. I got 15k MQM + 50k Skymiles + $100 Delta/statement credit. I don't remember seeing that offer last year. When does the offer expire?

Expires Nov 2. Maybe another event during Christmas shopping season?

I believe it says pre selected to apply. Doesn't sound like a real pre qualification. I'll have to check it later.
