Got my CLI after 6 Months from $1200-- $1500 (Seriously!!!!!)

BOA Priviliges: $10000

Merrill +: $15000

Fidelity: $10000

BOA Amex: $15000

AMEX Platinum: NPSL

AMEX True Earnings: $8000

AMEX HHonors: $10000

CAP One Platinum: $10000 (thru EO Office)

Cap One Cash Back: $10000( Thru EO Office)

Cap One Best Buy: $7500 (thru EO Office)

Barclays: $2500

I called in to see about a cli and was told by CSR "well you definitely qualify for a credit limit increase at this point. Let's go ahead and get your credit report.": i replied, "Well , no . Why are you pulling another report. I was toldupon approval that after a certain time (6 mnths) I could request a cli without a hard pull on my credit report." he says, " I'm sorry that you've been misinformed, but in order to grant you a credit limit increase, we'll have to pull another report." Ummmm thanks , but no thanks.

Wow, compared to your other TL, Barclays and Discover is really lacking behind. However, any SP auto-CLI is the best.

Well the CSR said that she could pull my CR and then she would be to see if qualify for my requested 5k limit. But I said no, I'm not that much desperate. I will let this card grow itself.

Sounds like the discussion I had last week. I was told Auto-CLI are usually lower and if you want a significant increase, HP

I had to take a HP on my Discover to get a cli. I shouldn't have because I only asked to go from 1500 to 3000 but it was getting on my nerves that every other card was growing but them. I can be alittle impatient sometime *lol*

My discover card was $1500 CL when approved one year ago. After six month, I got a CLI to $2000, SP. After another six months, I took a HP and got increased to $5K CL.

Exact same result here. No SP CLI possible on my account after 6 months. Discover offered HP so I said NO THANKS. I will also let it grow naturally and if it does not grow with me the use of the card will be only for Shop Discover and I will no longer use it for daily expenses. For this I need at least 5K. There are much better cards in my wallet in terms of rewards and also in terms of CL. Just amazing how conservative Discover is - but positively surprised about Barclays
