What NFCU CC should I get? TO: MR. CreditAddict

Going to apply for NFCU CC, not sure which one to apply for going to give you some info ony my CH.

These are all most recent

EXP-658 (CS)

TU- 645 (CK)

My Total credit is 7500 and sitting at 5-7% UTIL 4-500$

I have 1 auto loan for 19K through NFCU

33k in student loans all paid each month on time, (1-120 day late payment 4 years ago on Student loan)

What should I apply for, Need/have any questions about credit history. Looking to do this once, the right way with ya'lls help!

Well, it ultimately depends on you and what you are looking to get out of a credit card.

Personally, I enjoy the cashRewards the most. The 1.5% cash back on everything is nice. I also have the Flagship, which I don't use as much as my cashRewards, and I will probably PC it to their low interest card...

I would say my ultimate goal is to have the highest CL on the card. As it would be mainly to increase my overall credit to keep utilization down. I have seen most success in th forum with CLIs with nfcu, and I just happen to be a member.

I don't think it matters what CC you get as far as CL is concerned, that is based on other factors (score, income, util, etc). Navy gives out hefty CL's and CLI's regardless.

CreditAddict is the NFCU expert so I am sure he can offer more advice.

If your income is low or a low fico go for the Cash Rewards card. No min limit.

If you have fair credit and income and travel a good amount Flagship is better rewards but have to qualify for at least $5k limit making it a bit more of a risky app.

Good credit and plan to carry balance go for the platinum card for the lowest interest rates. If you have less than great credit you will likely only save 1-2% rate on this card so you should look at the rewards see what suits you best.

nRewards are not great IMO I will likely PC to Plat in the future..

Thanks everyone, I applied for, reading all the posts from creditAddict and everytone else<

NavChek 15K limit ( conditionally approved for 15K, just waiting for my title to clear on my auto loan through them.)

And CC (cashRewards Visa) is still under review... I am assuming same thing with title... but doesn't say anything about conditionally approved simply says under review still..
