Barclays Arrival Approval after recon

I applied on Saturday night for this card online, I got the manual review message. Mins later I checked their online application status line and it showed I was denied. I decided to call this morning to speak to a credit analyst via the backdoor numbers. After a few questions of verification this nice lady was able to approve me for 5000.

I mainly wanted this card to take advantage of the 12 month 0 APR as well as the great sign up bonus. What do you all use the card for? And how do you like it?

And what is your TU fico?
What were the initial denial reasons?

Hey Youngandcreditwrthy!
What's your reason for not re-con on your app now? I can't find it.
You already have a Barclay Card. I think it should be easy for you to get in with recon if you've run some money through your other account. I'd point this out.

Ahh sorry that's one thing I forgot to post is my denial reason which was "too many new accounts" she said I had 2 new accounts within the last few months and asked me what was the reason for them. I stated its because I'm planning on traveling within the next few months. I had recently got a chase mariott premier and PenFed Amex.

This is my first barclays card. And TU score is somewhere around 750.

Lol..... I was planning to apply for another Barclays card end of this year after my arrival becomes >6 months old. Not sure if its still a good idea now for me

I'm waiting til i'm closer to my next 3xcli on Amex so that a new account won't spook them! As long as I'm within 30 days of my April 30th app date, I'll be able to recon it!
My TU Fico isn't quite as high as your at about 706.
They auto denied my app. The onle reason stated is "sufficient credit with Barclay's"
I've run probably $10-12k through my $7700 credit line. No missed payments or anything! Usually pay right after the statement date. Bahhhh what gives.
