My first post! Diners Club Premier Approval!!

Hi All… I’ve been lurking on this forum for years (2011 I think). Never had the urge to post, but wanted to share the news of my Diners Card approval. I applied on 10/29, and received the 7-15 day message. I’ve called daily, checking status. Finally today when I called I noticed the CSR kept asking me detailed questions, such as my DOB, password, and the last four of my SS#. He paused for a while, and then advised I was approved for $5000.

I’m really excited. I would have never applied for this card if it wasn’t for this forum. My TU score as of 10/6 was 658, I know it was higher at the time of the application since I’ve paid down some of my cc balances this month, but not sure of the exact number. I would guess maybe 675 at the most. No collections, a couple of 30 day late auto loan payments from 2012, but high overall Utilization (61% right now).

I've learned so much from this forum, and with all knowledge I’ve gained I have my first $5000 card!

Do you know how the international airport lounge access compares to AMEX Platinum? I see GRU listed on the Diners website, does that mean the lounge access is included in the annual fee, or a reduced day fee?

Researched, and yes, 500 airport lounges, which would include GRU, and should be EMV Chip and PIN, which is rare in U.S. cards. (I know there are several Chip and PIN, but I don't seem to have them...and twice denied a few months ago for BarclayCard and PenFed due to high utilization)
