DCU Platinum visa approved then not approved then approved again

I applied for Platinum Visa. I then got an instant approval. After that it went under review. The card was approved again then went into review yet again. I called to let them know that I was reviewed and approved a day earlier. They had already received docs. But they immediatly relized I was correct and funded the card with no further issues. I cant blame them for wanting to be 100% sure about info with things the way they are these days. Well anyway I got $5400 cl on the card @8.99 apr can't complain.

Out of curiousity how often does DCU issue Pre Approvals? Do they do it once a month when they update your FICO score or is it more random then that?

I think its random. I have noticed like most banks pre approvals come out of no where. I havn't figured out how pre approvals work and probably never will. I have had drops in my score that have triggered pre approvals as well as with increases in my score.

Ragelog, if you have a 675 EQ score, you should be good for a card as long as you don't have major baddies.
