BOA Better Balance Rewards Approval!

Sorry to flood the forum with these approval threads!

I just got approved for the better balance card. I applied online and got the "30 days under review" decision. They only pulled experian. I had 6 inquiries (now 7 due to BOA) on experian before I applied. 3-4 are due to fall off in Nov 2013.

Initially I was approved with a $700 credit limit, but I asked for $1000 and they approved me without any questions.

I'll be opening a BOA savings account to compliment the better balance rewards card so that I may earn $30 per quarter by just paying in full every month!

I was also thinking about opening a sallie mae high yield savings account, but a forum member pointed out that earning rewards with the saving account is a huge hassle. I still might open it..I don't know yet. Hopefully Barclays doesn't take any adverse actions since I did just open 2 new accounts along with the Sallie Mae card.

I have frozen all 3 of the credit bureaus so that I may have a story to tell if Barclays does decide to close my new Sallie Mae card. Haha

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made. I wish everyone the best of luck when it comes to credit and their finances!

Yes, most definitely. I think I've acquired all the cards I'd like with my 10k income. Once my income is higher, I'll shoot for the Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Congrats on the approval!!! I also opened a checking/savings account with them to take advantage of the extra perk!
