So my DGF and I decided to apply for Chase Priority Club together tonight. We hit submit app at the same time. Hers came back approved and mine came back saying "further review needed". I thought I would get approved for sure with my profile. EQ FICO currently 734, AAoA 3yrs, Util <1%, last baddie more than 3 years ago. Her's profile is 726, AAoA 1yr, util 1%, and baddie 2 years ago.

Could it be that Chase recieved our apps at the same time and kicked mine out? We both live at the same address and a lot of our info is the same other than name and ssn etc obviously? I called recon and they're closed. Will try tomorrow.

could be you have reached the maximum CL they're willing to extend to you (depends on your income and credit history), or it could just be ID verification.

i don't think you have much to worry about. should be fine.

UPDATE: Approved for $4500. How recon initial CL? Who would I call? I'd like to get at least $5000 preferably $6000.

Congrats! Call tomorrow and see if they will increase the CL. Hopefully it won't be another Hp.

It will be a HP as with any reconsideration to initial approved CL. If the OP doesn't mind the HP, then the sky is the limit. Of course, this would depend on whether Chase underwriting deems the OP's current unsecured credit exposure with them as sufficient.

You are probably correct re: additional HO. A few on the board have recently been able to obtain a CLI - using the same Hp. There's also the possibility of moving CL around.

I concur on your other point 09Lexie. The OP does have the option to shift some of those CLs from the others as an alternate strategy.

If you are planning to app for another Chase card down the road, you can call EO and have them use that same pull they did for another app, for a CLI on your current card.

If you want to do it now, you can always apply for another Chase card now as well.

Or you can always just do a new inquiry for just CLI.

Have been thinking about shifting CL already. The question is, which way should I shift it. I see myself using the Freedom more so I might shift from Priority Club to Freedom to make it a visa signature

Question though, since I didn't get the Visa Signature, wood I loose out on any benefits such that's NOT associated to Visa signature such as no forex fee etc?

Called twice to the backdoor number and no go on CLI request unless it's another hard pull.

They did offer to move my CLs around. Might consider moving $1000 from Priority Club to Freedom to make the Freedom $5000 and VISA Signature. That card was originally a Slate opened in 11/2011, in 11/2012 I converted it to Freedom via Executive office. If I make the Freedom CL $5000, could I make it a Visa Signature? It's not a new account or anything right?

Call back and ask if you move the CL will you be eligible for the siggy. Not all $5k CL's are signature - also since you just did a PC in Nov you might have to wait until after Nov. not sure if they will use your original 2011 date.

I've been sending secured messages through OLD. They said I can move my CLs around and make my Freedom a Visa Signature. They already moved my CL around and sent the request for Visa Signature card to a diff department for verification or something.

And yes, still steamed about GF getting a larger CL
