Delta Sky Miles Approved!!!

I have a few cards in my profile but what I really wanted was an Amex card. I have tried before but I have always been denied. I received an offer email today from Delta and I said why not just bite the bullet. It took me a few minutes to even press the complete button lol. I literally did not look at the page for 20 minutes. Long behold, it says You have been approved!.

As you can imagine I was shocked. I am finally in the family. I really want the Everyday card though. Should I wait to apply or do just do it?

Congratulations! I like my Delta SkyMiles card a lot. Many benefits when travelling.

Some have suggested strategizing the AMEX applications to take advantage of backdating. You have a MSD of November 2014 now, if you app for the ED card in January or February, the MSD will be January or February 2014 rather than 2015.

It may be possible to get the second card on this HP, but might be best to build a few months relation with AMEX. As they get to know you, its easy to grow into new cards and CLI.

Congrats. imo it is best to wait. not only for backdating but keep in mind it is tough to get two revolvers with a little relationship with amex. at least wait until the new year. this will give them time to see you your payment history and everything. and your 61 day 3x cli. try for a charge card next. which takes more discipline than a credit card. but give it a shot anyway. congrats again.
