Applied for golden 1 credit union, got a instant approval for 10k. Soft pull equifax! It stated anything above 10k they would need to verify income! 10k at 8% for a soft pull sounds great to me. No membership

A softpull for any card sounds Awesomesauce, let alone a 10k card with a stupid low APR . Congrats for sure!

They pull EQ. Mine was a soft pull, if they do need to pull it will be EQ 100%

Doesn't it say on their web site that members and non members can apply for the credit card but that membership is required to open the card?

Member Number

Your Member Number is your Golden 1 Account Number and is used to verify your membership with the credit union. You must be a Golden 1 member to open a loan account.

This is when you are filling out the app and it asks for member number, you can leave this blank BUT if you click on (?) next to it, thats the message you get.

I just got a call from them and I asked if it ws a SP or HP and he did confirm to me it was a HP. I told him I would think about it and decide if I want to submit the application or not.

Yes, when I applied it was an EQ HP. I joined before apping for the card, as I assumed (apparently incorrectly) that that was required.
