Approved for Sallie Mae but disappointed with CL

Well I got the nerve to apply for a third Barclay card Sallie Mae in a 4 month period. Approved but the CL is only $650 I called to recon and they told me they needed to see more history on all my 14 new credit cards I asked if I could move my CL from Barclay rewards card and she said no not until they see more history... Oh well at least I got my foot in will wait 6 months and ask for an increase. Not sure what to do with a $650 credit line guess I will only use for gas.

Arrival + $5000

Rewards $1500

Lexus Visa $2000

DCU $5000

LBSFCU $5000

Venture Card $5000

Diner Elite $15000

Congrats but I don't get why they won't let you move the limits around. Same exposure for them.

Congrats! They are good with auto CLIs at 6 months. I would try calling and recon moving CL again. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats on the approval! Looks like that was your third Barlcays card, so that's pretty impressive that they approved you for a third card so quickly. It's still great that you got your foot in the door and after 6 months, hopefully you can get a CLI, and if not that, they should let you move some limits around.

Yes I know but it feel sooo good when you see that CONGRATULATION ON YOUR APPROVAL well I think this is my wake up call. I was lucky the analyst didnt grill me or threaten to do a AA on my other Barclay cards with the 23 inquiries and 14 new TL

At least you got your foot in.

14 new TL's in how long of period? I am very suprised you got a 3rd card with them when you have been with them for not to long.

I got all the new TL including the Barclay in 4 months. Went a bit crazy. I cant seem to stop But this is my last app I am black listed from Amex and Chase from including them in a BK 8 yrs ago

Yes, the limit could definitely have been better, but in Barclays' defense, I am sure they were very nervous extending you any more credit given your two new accounts wih them (not to mention, your new cards with other lenders). It is actually pretty difficult to get two cards from Barclays within a 6 month period. 3 cards is astounding.

Congratulations on the approval, though! The Sallie Mae is one of those rare cards that does not require a high limit to enjoy the benefits of the card.

Thanks everyone. I am very excited to have been approved for Sallie Mae and plan on treating the card like gold. Just so everyone knows when I started taking notice of my credit in Sept MyFico scores were EQ 673 TU 664 EX 686 Today they are EQ 704 TU 729 EX 769 all because of the wonderful info I have gathered here on how to pay my bills and maximze my credit profile

Congrats . I have a feeling your income is above average . Otherwise it would be much harder to get so many accounts in a short period .
