Which AMEX card to open for mom? [DONE]

Hey guys,

Mom's Costco TE APR promotion ended so I need to get her another AMEX for another APR promotion. She needs something that has good cashback rewards from shopping and that doesn't have an annual fee. Her EX FICO is really good 720-760ish, might be higher. What card do you think I should get her? Thinking about the AMEX EveryDay card since it has 2x points on supermarkets. What would you guys suggest? Thanks.

EDIT AFTER APP:

Cleared my cache/cookies and indeed saw the 15 month 0% APR. Applied for the BCE and approved for $6400. Will 3X that in 2 months

Also added myself as AU to get my 2014 backdate

Rep said her score was over 700, but said he didn't want to do the math on it since it'd take alot of time. I tried to ask for a higher limit but they said I can get a better limit after 2 statements (61 days), otherwise they can't do anything.

Something weird that happened was that when I submitted the app it said I'd recieve a message in the mail in about 14 days BUT I instantly recieved an email saying she was approved...

Anyways, thanks for the input guys!

BCE only gives 6months of 0% APR while ED gives 15 months. Kind of leaning towards the ED. Anyone else care to chip in some imput? Can I call in soon as I app and get a better limit? Should I app over the phone?

My BCE has 15 mo. Id call and ask but appig online vs phone has no difference. Idk if youre doing a BT from one amex card, but amex doesnt allow BTs between cards.

If your looking for an apr promotion for a balance transfer I don't believe you can balance transfer between cards in the same credit card company. At least that's what I have read.

Not looking to BT, just 0% APR for purchases. She likes to carry some balances.

I'm looking at the Blue Cash card and in the terms it says "0% intro APR on purchases for 6 months, then a variable rate, currently 12.99% to 21.99%, based on your creditworthiness and other factors."

Try using an incognito browser or different computer. I know for a fact that AmEx changes their site based on if youve ever logged in under the same computer. I had an experience where I applied for a Gold Delta Skymiles and the next day, it showed that there was no bonus offer on it. Same thing with the apr.

basically, if you qualify for the offer (which she does), youll get it. regardless of what the site says.

Is 6400 a decent starting limit? Her income is 40000. What starting limit did you guys get on your BCE?

That's a really great limit. My income is 100k and I got a 1k limit (the day after I got 5k on my delta card). I wouldn't try to increase it on activation.

Yes it is a good limit. at 61 days ask for $19,200 and see what you get.
