Amex CLI - Almost 3X :)

It had been six months since I requested Amex for a CLI, so I thought I would see what would happen. My CL with them was $9,000. I was tempted to go for the whole 3X making it $27,000, however I did not want to risk a RF that I have heard some people mention. Instead, I went for $22,500 and it was immediately approved! $9K to $22.5K not bad!! I am kind of wishing that I had asked a bit more, but in reality I had only been charging a couple hundred dollars a month with them as it is, so not a lot of need.

Congrats! I think you could have asked. It would have given you the cli or a 7-10 day message. You could have then submitted a lower amount. At least that's what has happened to a few members here. Either way, it's a great limit!

You know what I think it is???? Because I waited 6 months to do my increase to... jus did it last Saturday is it's so much easier to see an instant approval rather than see a 7-10 day message and in the back of most people minds not asking for as much seems less risky because I didn't ask for my full 3x either I could be wrong jus throwing something out there

Congrats. Why ask for more? Because you can ? 22k not enough. Hmmm.
