Visa Signature for no reason

Cabela's replaced my basic Visa with a Signature - came in the mail today, I had no idea they were sending/upgrading my card. Same Credit Limit (5K), same account number, same exp date. I don't even use it very much, but I'll take it.

The reason is now the bank can charge merchants a higher intercharge fee

Well, congratulations on the Visa Signature. I have a Cabela's Visa Sig, I have only charged 43.44 on it in the two months I've had it. I paid some toll-by-plates and haven't used it since. It is actually not a bad card, I just never use it. I think the APR is in the 13% range and they gave me a unrequested CLI already. Now that all my minimum spends are met, I would consider using the card if it weren't for the lousy 1% rewards on purchases outside Cabela's. When I get new guns or ammo, this card will do the lifting though. Enjoy your new Visa Sig!

I've been using my QS MC to order from my Distributor after helping meet bonus spend.

It's why I wanted a Doublecash.

I used my Quicksilver to buy my employees Ipad Minis for Christmas to get my 100 minimum spend credit and now I don't know that it will see the light of day again. I actually never use my Citi 2x Cash. I didn't get a spending bonus, so it sits dormant. I probably should start using it since 2x cash is actually not bad on general purchases, but almost all of my purchases can get 3x on a different card. Want to be an AU on the Citi? I PROMISE I'll send the cash...

It may seem useless to you but if you read over the terms of the VS card, you may find some of it useful

I have several other Visa Signature cards, I understand the so called "benefits". What surprised me on this upgrade is its a card I don't use much and there was no CL increase or account number change or request by me. I very rarely use any card "benefits" other than cash back, but no problem with the upgrade, I just have no idea why.
