Chase and American Express Approval!

I recently started my credit journey as I turned 18 in December 2013. I have always been an authorized user on most of my parents credit cards (American Express, Barclay, Capital One, Chase, Citi, GE Capital Bank) since I was 15.

Below is my credit journey so far! I am excited at how far I have progressed in less than 11 months. I plan to garden for at least a year before I do anything else and apply for more cards. Is there any other cards that anyone would recommend that I apply for then? I checked my Experian score today and it is at 721 which is where it has been since I began my journey.

January 2014

Discover $500

Capital One Journey $2000 (has been increased to $2500 though the credit steps program)

February 2014

Wells Fargo College Card $1500

April 2014

Chase Amazon $1500

Bank of America Travel Rewards Visa $700

May 2014

American Express EveryDay $1000

June 2014

Bought a new car -- Wells Fargo Dealer Services $21000

July 2014

Chase Slate $500 (has been increased to $1000)

August 2014

Macys Store Card $400

October 2014

Traded car that was financed through WFDS

Suntrust Auto Loan $32000

December 2014

Chase Freedom $700

American Express Gold Delta Skymiles $2000

Congrats. my opinion only. i think you should join me in the garden for about a year. you will see your scores go thru the roof. let the current cards you have grow. then you can go for even bigger cards. remember our slogan. its a marathon not a sprint. good luck.

Congrats . Sallie Mae is a good rewards card you should look into . If you don't mind me asking , Did you use your parents income for your apps ?

No I didn't use my parents income I used mine.

I am a full time college student and also on my parents payroll, they own their own business. I have "worked" there since I was 15... or at least been on the payroll.

I got CHASE Slate & AMEX SPG, just now (December 2014).

Same boat........different smell.......yay to us-!!!!
