chase freedom approval!

I got bored today and ended up on the chase web site applying for their freedom card. To my shock, I was approved for $2,200! I also tried my luck again with Discover card, denied. I dont know if I will ever get discover lol. I am happy to finally have a real card in my name! I still have low 600 scores and baddies, but they will be off my record in more year. For whatever reason, I could never get the pre apporval chase site to work for me. It just kept saying you have opted out of prescreened offers, which I opted back in months ago and still didnt fix it. So I threw myself at chase and came out with a card lol!

Oh yeah, I also got an overstock store card for another $2,200 the other day

Be sure to request a limit increase after setting up your overstock card account. They should add an extra $300 to your limit!

Congrats on the Freedom!

When I applied for the Discover card I wasn't approved initially, but the next day one of their representatives called me to confirm a few details (I had just got a new job for instance), and then approved me there on the phone. Not sure if they usually call you like that. Seems most companies you have to do the calling. For me he said the automated system didn't like my lack of credit history, but after a manual review said my credit history was fine (had a couple cards from quite a few years back, and a $28,000 auto loan with no missed payments), I had just recently opened my USAA and Amazon.com cards though a couple months before applying for the Discover card.

I tried and failed with Amex, BofA, and Citi, but just recently got a Freedom approval like you. I'm just going to sit in the garden for a while. Really I was not planning on applying for the Freedom but when I saw the prequalified offer, I couldn't resist. That's when I also got dumb and decided to try for the Citi Double Cash card, to use for anything that doesn't fit categories of current cards (like some online services I pay for). Denied
