Well yesterday my 6th statement cut for my Rewards card. Honestly, I am shocked they showed me any love. I went from 1,000 - 1400 , not a big jump. Truthfully, I was expecting some sort of AA considering I've opened up 8 accounts and 40k+ worth of credit since getting their card back in July. I've carried balances most months and had a near maxed out card (5.5/6k, 0% of course) the entire time which didn't seem to cause any AA. I also have a relatively thin file...

For all the horror stories I've read I guess I either got lucky or they just aren't as bad as some people make them out to be.

Grats for the small bump... Usually probably never hear the full story of alot of things that happen on this site. Maybe the person means the best sometimes telling the story as well, but might leave out something they don't realize?

Congratulations! I am really hoping to see some luv myself when my 6th statement cuts for my Sallie Mae. Even $400 would be very helpful lol.

I reconned my initial limit on my rewards. $1500 to $2000. Matched my highest limit card AT THAT TIME. Here I am 13 cards & 10mos later. No luv from them! Lol
I app'd Sallie Mae on a whim, the 16th. Went to 7-10 day. Called the following day. They needed verify some things. Then approved $5,000.
I'm wearing them DOWN..... Lol

Congratulations! You probably got a small bump because of all the reasons you stated, if you kept low UTL and didnt open as many cards you may have gotten a bigger bump. $400 is better than nothing though and in six months they may give you another. I got a big bump at my 6 months mark but 8 months have passed since then and I haven't gotten another.
