Chase slate success after reconsideration .

This morning I had the Itch to call Chase about the slate denial letter I received. The rep I spoke too was very nice. I told him that I had spoken to two other reps an was still confused after receiving the denial letter in the mail. He asked if he can place me on a brief hold an I said OK. After about 5 min or so he asked about the only collection account on my credit report from 2011. He also asked about how long I been at my current employer an my home address. After that, he place me on another hold for about 5 mins or so, which felt like 30 mins. He came back on the line an said you're APPROVED for the slate card!!! CL is only $2000 but I am grateful. Coming from the low 500's back in August to getting approved for the freedom,slate,discover it, cap one and BOA is a blessing. Thanks to this wonderful community I have come a long way.

Congrats! Another reminder how important it is to recon with Chase. My last two cards, the CSP and Ritz Carlton were both denied althogh the message said 7-10 days review. Only after I called did I find out I was denied and eventually approved. Only took one call for CSP but three for the Ritz.

Congrats gives me inspiration to try to recon when I get my Ritz denial letter which should be the 23rd and guilt them into an approval by the be in the Christmas Spirit mood...Maybe?

yes this is another reminder om how important is to call chase recon number.

On my chase apps I was approved for the freedom instan and the 7-10 days on the slate,

only after I called, I did find out I was denied and eventually approved.
