Chase Freedom Approved, but Low CL and I feel guilty now

Happy New Year Fellow Ficoers...

Approved this am for a Chase Freedom with a 500 CL. Anyway, I have to garden since my approval was obviously marginal, I am back in toy limit land after making some good progress. I called the Chase recons dept for a CLI and after another HP later, no dice..I also have a Chase Slate and Amazon Visa, they were not even willing to move any of my credit limits around due to my accounts being ineligible, all I could say was whaaat. Very discouraging, but I blame myself. My utilization is 50%-payment had not posted yet although rep advised she saw payment pending. I have 1 collection on my report (medical)...2 medical collections just removed, 4 new accts, new mortgage, tons of inquiries, 640 EQ, 636 EX, not sure TU--all scores dropped after mortgage reported last month

I'm done with this credit game for a while. I also have a new Jared CL for 4000. I am a AU on my husband's AMEX, so I don"t need anything else for right now. I was trying to BT my CU CC line, which was my rationale for the app spree, minus the Jared's of course. I bought a house in another state-hubby relo- and my utilization is 46%, so i need to chill, not to mention my inquiries are out of control. My credit union has offered to refinance my car at the same interest rate and I could then roll some of my CC debt into the loan, which I may consider. I earn a good income, therefore I think I am just going to pay everything off in the next 2-3 months and let my cards/fingers rest!

Yep, just change the 'garden' date in your signature and take a few months to get that utilization under control and you'll be fine. The system has let you know what you need to do to improve.

Dont ever feel guilty on an approval even a low limit one, there are ways to make that much bigger over time, grats to your success of getting your Freedom

Thanks everyone! I'm thankful I finally have Freedom. I have always wanted one and after some new gained perspective the low CL was a good way to put me in check Thanks to all of you for the great advice!
