Small App Spree

Now that I'm baddie free which resulted in a 75pt spike across the boards, I wanted to test the waters with a few cards that were instant denials last year:

BoA Cash Rewards 1-2-3 Siggy: Instant Approval 5k CL

Chase Freedom: Instant Approval 7500 CL

USAA Amex (I've been with USAA since 1996 and they've never approved me for ANY type of credit...): Instant Approval 13500 CL (My largest CL across all cards!)

I also app'd Fidelity Amex, but is pending review.

This little spree let me better know where I stand and know that I'll be approved when I'm ready to get SWA siggy Visa w/ 50,000 point offer. United and American Mileage cards, and Amex Gold PRG when they offer 50k points again, too.

Congrats. Now, next week apply for a Chase Slate and get the same limit. Then, combine the limits onto your Freedom and close the Slate.

Congrats! You should check card match because the 50K offer is back out along with the 100K for the Platinum

I've been away from the CC forums for a while now.

The a Freedom and Slate typically have the same underwriting criteria as you usually receive preapprovals for both. The Slate is not nearly as popular as its really just good for balance transfer. Chase though will allow you to transfer credit limita from one card to another quite easily. So, in theory, you apply and get approved for the Slate then transfer the credit limit to the Freedom and close the useless Slate. In effect you have received a CL without much effort. It's also thought that Chase will use the same credit pull for the original card to approve you for the second one. As always, YMMV

Update:

Fidelity Amex arrived today (even before my Chase Freedom (still not here)...already recieved BoA 1-2-3 card))

8k CL

Recieved target offer for Amex PRG w/ 50k points late last week and 50K points + $100 statement credit offer from Chase SWA Visa today.
