Ritz Carlton Approved...Pending

Good Afternoon All,

Recently I left the garden from pruning for about six months and apped for the Ritz card due to amazing 140k points offer (especially since they can now be transferred to Marriott or UR 1:1).

I was approved for a limit of 11k, making it my highest card by far (Discover 2500, Amex Blue Sky 3000, 5/3 4500, CSP 6500); this was about three days ago and I called in today using the CSP number to expedite the card. The reps were very helpful but the first said she couldn't find a Ritz card under my SSN and the second says she sees it but the application is currently pending.

Is there a reason for the pending after about three days? I do not have a Marriott or Ritz account, this that's my thought. For those in a similar situation how long did it take to receive the card?

I had the same thing. When I called to expedite it was deemed "pending", but turns out that was only because my number had not been generated yet. You'll be fine. Oh, once my number was generated I had the card the next day. I think from the day I appd to receiving the card was 5 days.

That's normal and happened to others. It has to do with them creating a Marriott account for you. Try searching for a Marriott account for your email address. That's the first thing you will find and if it shows you that you are gold level, then it's moving along. The entire process can take over a week

Wait so I can take my 140K points and turn them into UR point 1 to 1?

So I could potentially have a $1400 credit to my Sapphire preferrred card if I transfered them?

No I don't believe you can transfer those points to your CSP I think? IDK havent read the fine print in a while

"Finally, just like Marriott Rewards, Ritz-Carlton Rewards is also a 1:1 transfer partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards, so you can transfer points earned from the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Ink Plus/Ink Bold cards directly to the program."

No I don't believe you can transfer those points to your CSP I think? IDK havent read the fine print in a while

The only way for me to redeem UR is through my Freedom or CSP cards, I would assume that a transfer to UR would result in one of the two cards getting 140K UR points. At which point you could redeem for a $1400 statement credit.

At least thats the way I see it at the moment.

Yeah you can Transfer 1 UR point to equal to 1 Ritz point but i dont think you can make a Ritz point into a UR point if thats what you are trying to do? IDK I am just banking my points after i accidently pushed the sign up bonus to a direct deposit lol. I meant to only deposit only like 2,000 points ($20) which i had around 43,000.

You can't or else i would of gotten that 70,000 signup bonus on my marriott card which i only got for the free room pretty much. 1 Free room per year is nice to have
