An auto cli on a card in the credit steps program before it end?

i got my capital one card back around August and it was at $500 noticed it now has a $1,500 credit limit . I was expected to get it up to double or whatever it is next month so I should get double of $500 or $1,500?

Good luck. Their "auto" CLI for me was only a measley $250 - from $500 to $750. It was my lowest CL and it remains my lowest CL.

I'm going to ask for a PC (from Platinum to Quicksilver - or Quicksilver One if they want to waive the fee for it) in a couple of months, as there is no way in this universe that I'm paying a fee for a non-rewards credit card. If they decline then I am going to cancel it.

Congrats on the CLI! I would think they may not give you the expected increase next month since you got this one, but hope I'm wrong. Keep us posted!

Don't accept substitutions, Insist on Quicksilver flat out.

Thanks and tbh I don't get what warranted it since I never really used the card because of the small limit and only put on $0.50 every month so I could get that auto cli after 6 months . I do have another credit card with them the playstation card which I do use quite a lot

You obviously just got a CLI... so you obviously won't get another one for 6 months.

Since you got the card around August are you sure the 5th statement hasnt closed yet? I recall on my mailed offer it said potential for a higher limit after 5 months so Im wondering if this was your credit steps increase. At any rate, congrats!

It sounds like the Credit Steps CLI. I received one of my Cap1 cards in July and was increased in December. With you receiving yours in August and increased in January, I would say Credit Steps. You will receive an email in a few days with the details of your increase.

That may be it. Cap One can be quirky. I expected my Platinum to be enrolled in credit steps, but instead it's the QS1. In June, it'll go to 1500. For yours to jump tha high is tremendous! They must definitely want you to use it more often

I'm pretty sure it hasn't but I haven't really followed since I was simply putting on $0.50 charges each month and just paying that off as soon as it posted. Idk my statement date lol

Are they not the same thing, other than the AF on the One? I'd prefer not to close my Capital One unless I had to, since (i) it's my oldest card, and (ii) no foreign transaction fees, but it's 1/10th of my largest credit line elsewhere, and I'm not going to play silly games with them; they are hardly the only player in town.

Sorry to further crap over your thread OP; it sounds as if you have had more success with Capital One than I have.
