Got my Citi DC in October. Originally had a $4900 limit. Based on users suggestions I immediately asked for a CLI. They told me it would be a HP and I decided I didn't want to do that. I went online to see what the luv button would say, and it said a report MAY be pulled. I asked for a 20k limit just to see what would happen. It took me all the way up to the end and said they couldn't approve it without pulling my credit so I let it go.

Fast forward to this week. I went back on. It still said it MAY pull a credit report so I figured it would do the same thing. I was a bit more conservative and asked for 10k this time. It immediately told me my request would be reviewed. Cool...maybe.

About 30 mins later I found out I was approved for 10k. The next day the HP showed up. Sucks that it took a HP but hey, more than doubled my limit so thats good.

Same day I also got a SP CLI from Discover luv button. $8500 to $10500

OMG WHY did you take the hp and edit down your request... GO BACK, the hp is done and put in another request for $25k!!!

Wasn't expecting it to HP without asking me first. I was trying to go realistic with hopes it would SP. Oh well...

The only time it is a sp it will tell you from the very beginning that by checking for a credit line increase it will not affect your credit report.

Just looked into it. It does say that it won't run my credit. It doesn't give me the option to set an amount and I got an instant no! Haha

Sorry it cost you a HP but congratulations on more than doubling your limit.
