Thanks guys...While i was talking about the card in another thread, i realized that i'll definitely need it sometime in the future lol. Seems like a good deal. Cat 4 Hyatt usually run over $100.

I think it's a great deal. My wife and I used 30k points to stay at the Hyatt Santa Barbara (Category 4) for two nights last summer. Would have cost $450 a night if we paid.

I also thought of apping for the Marriot card. Matter of fact i had two browser windows, one with Marriot and the other with Hyatt. As you probbaly remember, we apped for the Ritz card in December. I already have Marriot Gold, so i dont need elite points nor do i really need the sign up bonus as of now. The 70k points bonus offered by Marriot rewards isnt enough for 2 stays at a JW Marriot Marquis. Taking the fact that i'll be getting 2 free nights to ANY Hyatt worldwide, i figured it's better to app for the Hyatt. The free anniversary bonus is just a window dressing that did it for me!

Thats pretty nice! Hyatt points actually has good value hence i dont understand why people complain about it being hard to earn points. Hyatt, SPG, UR, MR points are great to collect in my opinion.

I did not realize that at all and suddenly, this card is looking like a fantastic deal, especially with the lower AF to have it. I'll go for it either Februrary or March though I don't want to piss off Chase or anything since I just recently got the Amazon.

Yep, any hotel. As someone above said, the Park Hyatt in Paris is frequently over a grand a night. There are also Park Hyatt's in New York that are pretty expensive. Grand Hyatt Kauai is nice too. Platinum status in Gold Passport, Gold status in MGM Mlife. I've gotten quite a bit of value out of mine.
