Marriot Chase and Slate Chase

Applied for the two cards this week and got instand approval.

Called Chase to check if the cards were mailed and the automated system said the Slate was approved and should be mailed whereas the Marriot Chase was under review.

So am a bit confused if the Marriot Chase is approved or not even though I have online approval.

Congrats on the approvals. That message for the Marriott card is normal. This happens with both the Marriott card and Ritz because they either have to set up a Marriott account for you or link it to the one you have now. This is why you won't immediately get the card as it takes a few days. You're approved though.

I did call Chase to expedite the Slate card which they did and you are right they said the same thing about linking the card to my Marriot Rewards card.

Congrats! I have both cards, they are great. The Slate becomes a little obsolete though after the 0% APR is over.

Thats why you have to close it after the intro period and transfer your limit to another card its the best part about chase

Same thing happened to me with my marriott card. Its a weird feeling when you get the online approval then you call in and the rep still says its under review chase needs to look at that. But no worrys you will get the card congrats!
