12 Hours after BBR... Chase AARP!

Hello again! Left my brief time in the garden for the BoA Better Balance Rewards card this morning. Decided to let it ride with the Chase AARP card, hit again!! $6,600 credit line

Planning on calling recon to get that line increased Monday morning.

That's awesome. AARP is an excellent card IMO that doesn't get talked about as much as other ones. Same thing with BBR.

When they ask for the reason for the increase, what do you say? I mean 6k is good, no? I'm just asking. I think if they give you more because you ask, then it couldn't hurt.

AAoA 3-4 years. 3 new account showing (<1 year). 1 new account <3 months. 2 new accounts pending. Think they pulled EX, I'm not sure how many inqs I had, I know at least 3 inqs, probably closer to 5 Or 6.

756 TO according to Barclays. Perfect payment history, ~$55,000 reported lines, ~$70,000 total at the time of the app. No credit outside of revolvers and about 3% util. Nowhere near retirement qge, just leave the member I'D blank.

I had success with Barclay in the past. I tell them I really don't need the TL. I just want to keep my overall Util low for each card. If the look at my history all my cards report a low util. Plus I'd like a card I can grow into. I expect a raise soon.

Then they ask how much I want. "Well my next lowest card is X, but I'd really like Y" if the think I'm responsible, they should give it to me.

in truth, I've never reported a balance over $1,500 on any card, and that was because I had to expense things at work. I don't even need the $6,600 trade line as I'll probably only put $150 a month and PIF, but I'm a greedy man.

Just an update. Since my account is already established, Chase credit analysts say they can't grant a CLI without a call into customer service and another hard INQ oh well, the card shouldn't see much more than 3% until at any given time anyways! Maybe when I go for a freedom card I can play around with my limits
