Ok, decided to check out overstock.com and looking at someone in here discuss the approval consideration between SP and HP decided to apply since it was a SP and got approved. Amex, still one of these days I will get youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!! lol Thanks everyone!.

How do you know if its a soft pull or a hard pull. I just had a hard pull from fingerhut and don't want to apply a have another hard pull done.

It is a soft-pull if you get the pre-approval pop-up automatically after you enter your name and address at checkout.

Make sure you get the "pop-up". Do not Apply directly, make sure it is the pop-up you get during checkout.

How do I know? Myself and perhaps 100 other people here have already confirmed a SP on our credit report.
