Pulling the Trigger Right Now

A couple of months ago I wrote about my interest in getting the Chase Freedom but everyone agreed that my util at the moment was too high. Today I checked my CK and my EQ is reporting a 26% util while my TU hasn't updated and still says it's at 46%. Earlier today I asked if this could be a CK error or if indeed my reports were different, one people commented that it probably was CK being slow.

So now I feel confident and I'm targeting the Freedom and the Amex BCE. My strategy is to app for Chase first and then Amex having in mind that (correct me if I'm wrong) Amex is SP if denied and HP if approved)

Now for the profile: CK Vantage scores 655TU (without the info updating) 687 EQ
only 1 card, Best Buy Store Card $3600
1 inq in TU, 0 in EQ
AAoA of 1.5 yrs
util 26%
income around 10k (student)
no baddies

As the title indicates I should be pulling the trigger in the next couple of minutes (unless you vote for the contrary) and will let you guys now of the outcome. I just wanted to know what you guys think. Thanks!

Yes, that is the # to ring them at. Tell them you are calling as you just applied for their card and wanted to know if something else was needed to procedd your application further. Will keep fingers crossed for you.

You are welcome. Why was she denied? Did they say?

Balance too high, her uti was 30% at the time. And too many recen inq, which is nonsense cause her EX only has 2 Inqs 3 months old, around 8 Inqs each on EQ and TU. Since Amex doesnt recon i told her to let it go.

Then have her reduce Util. and then try again in a month. Those inquiries are nothing unless there are some hiccups in her credit portfolio.
