topic CSP App in Credit Card Approvals

Hello All,

I need some advice. I want to app for the CSP but want to make sure it is the right time. Here is my history and stats.

Current cards:

Freedom (6K)

Venture (7.5K)

US Airways Barclays (7.5k)

Wells Fargo (6.5K)

AAoA = 6.5 years

FICO Scores:

Ex: 701

Eq: 703

TU: 689

Last apps were in November 2014 when I app'd for the Freedom and got denied a Ink.

Income = 130k

Currently run 1,300/month through my Freedom which autopays full statement balance every month. Currently have a $1,500 balance on the Freedom, no other balances.

Any thoughts on approval chance?

Any feedback would be really helpful. Thanks all!

your chances are pretty solid iMO

check the pre-approvals and if you are 95% you will be approved

Should be golden still... Scores are good, good history with Chase, good income.. I would be suprised if you were declined.

Yep, I was approved with 680 EX.

similar scores and income to OP, had identicsl limit on freedome approved this week CSP 25k and United MP 25k

Update folks.... Just submitted the app and got the app needs further review message. I will call the recon line tomorrow and see what's the fuss... I'll let you all know how it turns out, thanks for all the feedback!

Was the email 30 days? Also if you call status line does it say two weeks? I am guessing it is just verification, please keep us informed!

Yep it was the 30 day email. Haven't tried the automated line, but will call the recon tomorrow and let you all know how it turns out.

30 day mail is a good sign... try status line and see if it say two weeks, that is a really good sign then... I gurantee you it is just verification with your income/scores. Sometimes the status line does weird things like asks for social then says nothing and sometimes it will say two weeks.. What you really don't want is the 7-10 message from research... Anyways, I still think you are golden. Both of my approvals have had to go through verification 30 day email thing and called next day and just transferred answered a few security questions then told CL.. Why they make some do it and some instant, I have no clue but I can gurantee you my next card will be a verification issue as well with chase.

Ok just called the automated line and got the 2 weeks message, so sounds like things are promising! After I chat with the CA tomorrow, I'll give a little update. Thanks for the help!!

I got the same message when I applied for the Freedom today. I'm hopeful but I'm calling recon tomorrow to see what the deal is

UPDATE: APPROVED for CSP! Limit is only 7k but I'll take it! Thanks all for your feedback and encouragement!

Got a little excited and decided to app for the SPG AMEX as well (my first AMEX), instant approval for 2.5k! Nice little spree, now I believe the term is "off to the garden"? Cheers all!

Congrats new it was an approval! Sorry it wasn't for more, kinda suprised actualy. Regardless you can move limits between your two cards if you need two without issues and a nice bonus to boot once you spend 4k!

@creditcuriousity how long does it take for the new card to be added to my existing online account? I asked for the card to be expedited, so should have the card in 24-48 hours. Thanks for the help!

Should be showing on your account already... pretty much instant after verifcation.. showing yet?
