Got approved in October of 2012 for a Walmart card with a whopping $500 CL. Got a bump to $900, then $2000 and yesterday I got a bump to $3500. Gotta love GE.

The $900 was auto, the $2000 was a call to "Credit Solutions", the $3500 was the luv button. I like variety.

Congrats! 6 months and 4 diff CLI is amazing. How much did you use the card? How many months before the first CLI?

Awesome. Congrats. I'm coming up on 4 months with a limit of 400. I am going to try someone else's idea at the 4 month mark and call and say I want a bump to 1200 cause I'm thinking about purchasing a big screen tv. Then if I get the CLI I can keep thinking about purchasing a big screen tv while I keep my Walmart card balance at 0.

Just curious as to what type of credit score you'd need for a WM card, and also if they are BK friendly? My BK was from 2005 and I didn't burn them in the BK.

Your BK should be old enough, I would say a FICO above 630 with some recent positive history and no recent baddies.

I was approved with a TU08 score of 520 which shocked me. I didn't realise my score was so low or I wouldn't have applied. I had a federal lien from 2006 at the time paid off in 2008 and another cc baddie with about 11 lates over 90days....

My TU score was 659 as of a few days ago. I have had a past account with GE-not thru Walmart- the account was closed by GE due to inactivity, but was never late. To play it safe I may pay down my Cap1 card to under 10% since its like at 66% now before I consider applying
