SHOPPING CART TRICK WORKED!!!

I'M SUPER STOKED! I have been working hard on re-estbalishing my credit, so I can buy a house by the end of the year, and one thing my file was missing was a credit card! I recently got a secured card through my bank USAA and with that my score increased to 555- 600 depending on which FAKO score I'm looking at- ANYWAY, today I tried the Victoria's Secret shopping cart trick and it worked! I was preapproved with a limit of 350.00 dollars!

I wanted to share this with all of you, because I have been a lurker for over a year now! Anyway, I created a VS online profile, added my address, and in the payment option field, I stored my new credit card.. and BAM! PRE APPROVED! So happy right now! Woohoo, let's garden these a bit and homeownership will be right around the corner...

As somebody already mentioned now that you have 1, be selective going forward and do not accept anything thrown at you. I say this with the best of intentions coming from my own prior bad impulses

in case you were not aware that card can be used at Bath and Bodyworks. They have good candles... Use it, pay it off, click the CLI button once a month and cross your fingers. rinse and repeat... I got that card like a year ago with $500 limit and now its at $2500. Probably have spent a few hundred thru it.

Congrats OP. VS was my one rebuilder card from Comenity. Closed it after a yr. Served its purpose.

Thanks to all, I've worked hard to repair things to get to this point so I'm proud.

The Angel card is actually one I've always dreamed on having and am planning to keep, even though it's only a store card; I love that place!

Congrats for getting approved!

I had scores in the 500s just over a year ago, and have worked my ass off to get them up in the 700s now.

on a whim, I tried the old cart trick with sportsmans guide, and got offered the visa they have. i remember at this point last year, i thought i would never get that offer. i'm feeling pretty good now.
