CSP approval via recon!!

Apped and was approved for the AMEX BCE last Sunday... Thought I'd strike again before I start gardening so I tried the pre-quals of BofA, Citi and Chase, and the only offer I was able to get was Chase Slate and CSP. I'm not really interested in balance transfer since I PIF each month, so I went for the CSP!

After submitting, I got the dreaded 30 day message.. Immediately called recon and the agent who took my call was extremely helpful. She said that my app wasn't declined - it just needed further review and that she'd be happy to take a look. She verified some personal info and put me on hold for less than a miniute:

"You application is complete and your credit line is $5,000."

Yay, couldn't be happier. I asked her whether the new card would be a Visa sig or platinum - she said she didn’t know. Any idea?

Now back in the garden for at least 6 months…

I believe that all CSPs are Visa Sigs. Also the lowest CL they will give is 5k because that is the minimum for sig.

Congrats and welcome to the CSP family!! May I asked what is the difference between Visa Sig and Plat? I just realized mine says Visa Sig.

Thank you very much! I already did - told the CSR I was going to travel overseas next week so they expedited the card for me. Can't wait for it to arrive!!

Congrats and welcome to the CSP family!! May I asked what is the difference between Visa Sig and Plat? I just realized mine says Visa Sig.

I'm no expert on this, but I think Visa Sig has some extra perks than Plat. I noticed this because last year Fandango had a promotion for Visa Sig cardholders and they were able to buy 1 ticket and get 1 free.

Congratulations! It's been nothing but good since I obtained my CSP. One month in and about to cross the $4k spend for the bonus too! And people WILL be surprised by the weight of the card when you hand it over haha. Enjoy!

Apped on Sunday, and received the card today (took them less than 1 business day to ship it out)! It was sent by UPS Next Day Air.

CSP is definitely the best looking card in my wallet now!
