I would say if it's the same card number and security code, it would work. Just like my Discover More should work even though my IT has the same number.

Yea I wouldn't want to swipe the unicorn. Keep it shinny white without scratch. Might be worth something down the line as a collector's item

The Zync had one brief existence. Maybe the shortest lived card for AMEX.

I downgraded from the PRG to the Zync just a couple of months before they discontinued it. The account number is indeed the same but the CVV is different. I have had a Platinum card since 2008, so as long as the Zync continues to earn MR points I'll keep it. I'd probably keep anyway since Small Business Saturday pays the annual fee.

Well I had to call back and confirm everything, seems like I will get the AF charged within 45 days

Added DW as AU, still no change on AMEX site. Does anyone know how long it takes to update online?

I am going to do exactly like you. I have a platinum and I will keep my Zync until AMEX pushes it to stop.
