New Here. (Just Approved Chase Slate) Question though???

I just got approved for Chase Slate $3200 CL. I have been working on rebuilding my credit for 4 years now since my divorce, foreclosure and repo.

This is only the second credit card I have now Capitol One $2500 CL, since all other cards were canceled form divorce, besides store cards (Kay, Best Buy,...) So... question for some of you with experience???

I want to also apply for a points card as well but I know I will be buying another vehicle in about 5 or 6 months?? Should I apply for another card now or just wail it out until after a get the auto loan???

New accounts are any opened accounts that have less than two year history, so since you already app for slate, I'd go for another one and then let them garden for six months.

Was this done today? If so, app Freedom and hopefully get a two for one hp since done same day.

Well, OK!!!!! got Approved $4500.00 CL Amex Every Day Card 3/8/15. my entire credit is based off of auto, store cards and my Capitol One,

I have learned here that debt to credit ratio is also big. so I hope this helps a lot. I'm currently at 10% usage this $3200 Chase and $4500 Amex will do me some good I hope.

Congratulations!

Getting back from a divorce is challenging. I didn't have some of the other issues, but it's hard enough getting set up individually again.
