I got the visa card around August 2011 with 1,000 CL and a few days ago I filled out the CLI form online for 3,500 and got a denial. The following Monday I called the backdoor and once again denied. Today I got a letter in the mail saying congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that in recognition of the exceptional way you handle your account we have increased your credit limit to 3,500. A few weeks ago I was also approved for the citi thank you card for 3,500 with 0% on purchases and BT. Johnson bank increased my cl from 1,000 to 1500, I didn't ask for it, nice surprise. I am at 50% credit utilization and no baddies. One installment loan 8,000 balance. Transunion score said 671 when I applied for cli. The thank you card was a invitation so I applied. US card was at 0 balance when I asked for increase. Surprised again!!!!

Whoa US Bank granted your request being at 50% utilization?? Thats nice! which form did you fill out for cli? Also was it a hard pull or soft pull, did you have a balance when requesting cli?

It was a hard pull and I went on us bank online and applied there.

Last question what state do you live in and which credit bureau did they pull?

I live in Wisconsin and they pulled Transunion.

i am in socal and US bank pulls EX in socal.

If you're in norcal, it's either EX or EQ for US Bank. Could go eitherways.

us bank may pull transunion regardless of what they pull at application. They pulled EQ on me in december for the app, then gave me a score based on TU for a CLI request. soft pull-they said it was too early

They pull everything for me here in Norcal.
