How much is a TU inquiry worth to you?

$40 apparently.

Wife got approved for Sam's MC for $4,000 in store. -- Going to recon that on card arrival for sure.

Got Tier 2 even with 0 TU inquiries, 717 TU FICO and no derogs other than one paid medical collection over a year ago.

Tier 2 (Ouch ><)

They started mine out at 3500 in Oct and done a sneak auto-luv to a weird number of 4850 2 months later. Also Tier 2.

Anyway Congrats! on her approval.

The drawback to this card is that the rewards are payable once a year and good only a Sams Club.

That may be so, but we shop at Sam's often enough to make it worth our while. Also, We're running up against the fuel cap on the SM and it's not a great time for her to app another Barclay's card. Sam's MC seemed like an appealing option -- She will carry the Sam's MC for fuel and dining. I will continue to buy WM GC to shop at Sam's with my SM

Congrats! I was a reading the terms and thats a big gap in apr's. The ebay MasterCard i got recently has tier 1 apr 19.% and 2 at 23.99%. But i love how they state in the terms "only a few people will qualify for tier 1". Lol

A data point for all. I apped for Ebates last year, the pull was EX, 778 Fico was insufficient to get the best interest rate.
